Job Description
Our client, a growing pump manufacturing company located in New Haven, CT, is seeking a Test Technician . This position assists in the creation of test procedures to validate new and existing equipment. They will collect and analyze data and provide feedback to engineering for improvements and operation. They will also maintain all test equipment, instrumentation and system calibrations for the overall test area.
Duties:
• Run production tests for pumping systems, and maintains testing database.
• Work with Production and Engineering to prioritize and manage testing workflow.
• Ensures that all required test equipment is present, functioning and calibrated.
• Assists in the creation of testing procedures for all product lines.
• Implements continuous improvement activities focused on eliminating waste and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Maintains awareness of relevant engineering policies, guidelines and procedures
• Remains current with emerging technology.
• Provides technical training to technicians as needed.
• Perform daily work, safely with full consideration for fellow employees and in full compliance with OSHA safety standards.
• Perform rigging and slinging operation in a safe manner.
Qualifications:
• Associates degree in electrical/mechanical engineering technology a plus
• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical and electric equipment. General understanding of electric power systems.
• Ability to use computers and software programs Excel, Outlook, custom test software
Pay:
$25-35/hr
