Set Up Technician
Job Description
Our client is plastics manufacturing company that primarily focuses on products in the medical device industry. They are located in the Waterbury area and are seeking experienced Set Up Technicians on 2nd and 3rd shifts with a background in plastics and molding. They offer an outstanding work environment with brand new machinery and it is also incredibly clean and organized on the floor. They also offer competitive pay, great benefits, and a very generous PTO Policy (18 Days!).

$20.00 - $30.00
Shifts:
2nd Shift (3: 00 P.M. - 11: 00 P.M.)
3rd Shift (11: 00 P.M. - 7: 00 A.M.)

What they Offer:
- 18 days PTO in addition to 10 company paid holidays
- Annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
- Health Insurance: Client company pays 80% of premium.
- Dental and vision insurance: Company pays 70% of premium.
- 401k employer will contribute up to 4.5%.
- OT offered during week and on Saturdays
- Molding Technicians will carry out production requirements, oversee equipment problems, work with other departments and perform mold setting duties as necessary
- Follows daily production schedule
- Troubleshoots and handles equipment and mold problems
- Ensures that quality assurance measures and procedures are followed, guides and assists quality inspectors as necessary
- Oversees training of employees, including new hires, assists employees with equipment, operational, production problems
- Processes set-ups, starts up presses including dial ins
- Plastics and molding experience.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
- A working knowledge of injection molding equipment, mold set-ups, mold operations, plastic resins and mixing procedures including math and measurement techniques/equipment
