Senior Service Technician

Job Description

Our Client creates and inspects new technologies for sterile barrier packaging requirements. They support various industries including pharmaceutical, biotech, medical, food and beverage, bottles and containers. They have two locations one here in Hawthorne, NY and one in Switzerland. They have 65 employees across both firms. They are currently seeking a Service Technician to add to their team.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with your Manager and other other Team Members to support both new system installations and servicing of existing systems, both at the customer’s site or remotely.
  • Provide onsite services on machine calibrations, installation, validation, and/or troubleshooting for our systems.
  • Write timely and detailed service reports and feedback on VOC.
  • Provide system technology and operation training for our customers.
  • Suggest system improvements based on customer feedback that will enhance our products performance.
  • Involve direct interaction with customers to provide top level service.
  • Support management and customer’s needs in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
Qualifications:
  • 2 years in packaging or other engineering/technical area or accredited technical school degree or Military AIT.
  • >1 year of experience with packaging system manufacturing and assembly (preferred)
  • >3 years of experience as a Service Technician (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of HMI/PLC functionality and operation (preferred)
  • Ability to diagnose technical problems and determine the proper solution
  • Good MS Office skill (word, excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • High level of energy and readiness to travel.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills and ability to work professionally with customers.
  • Detail, hands-on and action oriented.
  • Ability to assess next steps and see beyond immediate tasks at hand
  • Able to travel 60%, strong customer focus, and an excellent communicator.

8: 00 AM - 5: 00 PM

$55, 000 - $85, 000
