Description/Comment: Position Summary: The role of the Quality Rework Tech is to manually contribute to the production of high quality parts. Responsibilities include monitoring the quality of components and clearly communicating to the supervisory team any issues. This role validates product quality through SPC and visual, dimensional, and functional quality checks as well as ensuring proper packaging.
Position Responsibilities:
" *Operates and monitors assembly equipment per prescribed safety, operational, and quality procedures to insure quality production
" *Verifies correctness of components from shop order to component number, to prevent mixed or wrong parts
" *Performs quality checks using various inspection gauges, microscopes, or calipers
" *Performs continuous quality checks to ensure that products meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements
" *Sorts machine scrap
" *Record operating data, such as process conditions, test results, or instrument readings
" *Maintain supplies by checking stock, anticipating, and requesting supplies
" *Maintain quality standards by conducting in-process inspection, line clearance, production records, and overall monitoring
" *Read fabrication orders to determine equipment settings and adjustments
" *Package finished products and prepare them for storage or shipment
" *Notify supervision of product quality issues
" *Participate in product investigations
" *Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with company procedures, rules and regulations and report any dangerous situations or malfunction of equipment
" *Support and adhere to all system and company procedures
" *Performs and meets the requirements of BRC/GMP/ISO in all job activities
" *Perform other related duties assigned.

Required Qualifications:
" *High school diploma or GED
" *One year of factory experience preferred
" *12 month outstanding performance in prior position (preferred)
" *Ability to handle multiple tasks
" *Good organizational skills.
" *Perform at a high pace environment and be able to work well under pressure
" *Complete math and mechanical aptitude test with a passing grade
" *Must possess basic math skills
" *Must be able to read, write, and speak English
" *Able to stand, walk, and bend during performance of expected duties.
" *Must have good mobility and must be able to routinely lift loads of 25-65 lbs. From floor level to above waist; Based on site location, must be able to occasionally lift over 100 pounds with frequent bending and twisting
" *Must have ability for sitting, standing, walking, pushing, twisting, climbing, bending, reaching, grasping, performing repetitive movements, working indoors, working in temperature extremes
" *Must be able to climb steps, have good vision, be able to hear warning signals, discern shades of color, read various inspection gauges, work effectively, communicate with others, and be willing to work as a member of a team
" *Participates in and complies with all occupational safety programs sponsored by APTAR, but not limited to, training programs, drug & alcohol testing, hearing tests, vision tests and related requirements.

Marginal Job Functions:
" *Moves boxes by hand and using hand truck
" *Performs housekeeping duties
" *Trains new employees in Sorter operating procedures
" Charts results of daily production
