Job Description
Founded in 1971, our client is a leader in design and fabrication of precision tooling and gaging for the aerospace industry. They specialize in the manufacturing of fixtures, gauges, ground support equipment and machined short run production with tight tolerances. They are family owned and employ over 40 employees in Wallingford and are ISO 9001 certified. Forecasting upcoming retirements and continual growth, they are seeking to add another Quality Inspector.
Job Duties:
Perform dimensional and visual inspections of in-process and finished components, sub-assemblies and final products using best practices and tools including Calipers, Micrometers, Gauge Pins, Indicators, height-check with frequent tolerances of .0002
Recognzie form and positional features
Assure relevant standards, specifications, procedures and processes and implemented and adhered to.
Interface with customers source inspectors
Manage internal ISO compliance
Qualifications:
Previous quality control experience within the aerospace industry
Experience w/ surface plates and sine plates
Possess and understanding of assemblies
Understanding of GD&T and shop math
Compensation:
$22 - $27/hr
1st shift, M-F
