Quality Inspector
Job Description
Our client is an innovative mid-sized manufacturing company in Seymour that manufactures electronic hardware and components for the Defense, Aerospace, Automotive, Agriculture, Electric Vehicles, Medical and much more. We are immediately seeking to add to their Quality Inspection team to support recent growth.
Pay:
$17-$19 per hour.
Job Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for feeding and operating sorting machines. They will also perform visual and dimensional inspections on products at various stages of production to ensure that customer specifications are being met and company quality standards and engineering drawings are followed.

This position requires the employee to lift, pull, push, or carry 30lbs. This employee will be standing or walking for long periods of time.
Work hours:
M-F 6am-2: 30pm or 7am-3: 30pm
Pay:
$17-$19 per hour.

Job Summary

Essential Job Functions
- Feed, operate, and monitor sorting machines.
- Move product to appreciate areas, as instructed.
- Perform in process inspections, as needed.
- Reads and understands blueprints.
- Ensures documentation is correct and with the appropriate bin of parts.
- Provide light maintenance to the sorting machines.
- Communicates with Production Manager and Team Lead if sorting machines need adjustments or are down.
- Complies with company safety policies and procedures.
- Assists in other duties, as assigned.
Skills And Abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume production environment.
- Basic Dimensional inspection equipment knowledge (Caliper, Micrometer, etc)
Education And Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in quality control in manufacturing precision components.
- 1-2 years of experience in machine operation.
