Job Description
Our client is a large aerospace company located in East Granby with multiple locations across the state and country. The business services a wide range of industries making and repairing parts for large customers such as Pratt, and even Rolls Royce. They offer an excellent opportunity with great pay and benefits to work for a growing company in a stable industry. They have nearly 100 employees in their East Granby location and are actually an MRO Facility at this location as well. This means they take in used or damage parts, fix and return to the customer. They are seeking Quality Inspector' s.

$23.00 - $37.00 Per Hour.
Schedule:
1st Shift: Mon - Fri 6: 30 AM - 3: 00 PM
2nd Shift: Mon - Fri 3: 00 PM - 11: 30 PM
Weekend Shift: Fri - Sun 5: 00 AM - 5: 00 PM

- Perform a variety of duties to independently complete incoming, layout, first piece, in-process and final inspection of diversified turbine engine components being repaired.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections on turbine engine components.
- Ensure quality detailed inspection follows all applicable manuals and technical data.
- Read and understand engine manuals, illustrated parts manuals and other technical data to perform receiving, basic, in-process and final inspection activities.
- Operate computerized measuring equipment, train, and assist other inspectors as required with CMM.
- Complete correct and concise documentation of compliance to requirements on organizational, customer and/or regulatory documents
- Perform a full spectrum of dimensional inspections of parts involving extremely close tolerances.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in pre-inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection.
- Previous experience using a CMM.
- Inspection of big parts. (Barnes is inspecting parts that are 3 feet in length 500 pounds in weight)
- Experience in aerospace is a plus!
- Experience in an MRO Facility is a plus!
$23.00 - $37.00 Per Hour.
