QMS Supervisor
Job Description
Our client is an international metal precision manufacturer that focuses on metal springs, progressive stampings, machined components, and assembly work for almost 80 years, and has over 400 employees! They have been supporting various industries including medical, defense, aerospace, and other government industries. They make a wide variety of parts for a large number of customers! They are currently seeking a QMS Supervisor on 1st Shift.

- Assures the enforcement of the quality plan, and maintains certification of ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485.
- Prepares for and represents the company during any Customer, ISO, AS and related audits.
- Provide RCCA, as needed from external audit findings.
- Develops a supplier excellence program, including supplier auditing and surveillance.
- Communicates with all areas of the business and coordinates activities relating to quality improvement, specific customer requirements, or product problems as directed.
- Insures the company has robust, disciplined processes and make appropriate recommendations to the Management Committee for improvements.
- Manages the internal audit teams, and writes the audit reports.
- Maintains access to various customer websites where specific customer documentation must be retrieved.
- Coordinates annual contracts for general specifications (ASTM, AMS, SAE, etc) and updates as appropriate .
- Leads CSS Source Inspection department assuring customer requirements are met while ensuring CSS is compliant.
- Provides support with application of specifications regarding aerospace and defense applications.
- Bachelor degree or higher from accredited college or university or demonstrated equivalent strongly desired.
- 5-10 years experience in a manufacturing environment with aerospace, automotive, and medical quality standards, hands on inspection experience.
- Computer literate in Microsoft applications. I.E. Word, Excel, etc.
- DSQR source inspection certification preferred (e.G. Arkwin, Boeing, Collins/Hamilton, GEAE, Lockheed Martin, Parker Stratoflex, Parker CSD, PWA, PW Power Systems, Raytheon, Sikorsky, Triumph)
- AS13001 certification preferred.
- LCS Certification preferred.
- Strong visual ability for close inspection of parts.
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally bend or twist as needed to move parts.
