Machine Operator III –Day & Night Shifts
Location: Shelton, CT
Pay: $20–$24/hr + Night Shift Differential ($0.75/hr)

This position operates on a 12-hour rotating schedule:
Day Shift: 6: 55 AM –7: 00 PM
Night Shift: 6: 55 PM –7: 00 AM (+$0.75/hr)

What You’ll Do
As a Machine Operator III, you are the lead operator on the production line—ensuring quality, efficiency, and safe machine operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily line operations and partner with leads, mechanics, and production staff to solve issues

Load/unload material rolls, set machines according to specification sheets

Start/stop/restart machines, remove scrap, manage rewind

Assist with machine setup and operate thermoforming, automation, and auxiliary equipment

Inspect in-process and finished products for defects

Perform line clearance, housekeeping, and in-process documentation
-
Conduct basic preventative maintenance and cavity changes
-
Troubleshoot quality and equipment issues

Maintain accurate logs and production documentation

Support training and skill development within your shift
What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or GED
-
Previous machine operator experience (manufacturing preferred)

Ability to operate lift trucks

Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
Problem-solving mentality with solid decision-making abilities
-
Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel;data acquisition a plus)

Ability to read micrometers
Schedule
This position operates on a 12-hour rotating schedule:
