Paint Shop Laborer - Sheet Metal Fabrication
Job Description
Our client is located here in Southern, CT in the valley area. They are a privately owned metal manufacturing company that has been in business for 50+ years. They work on medical devices, scientific instruments, and elevator parts. They offer a lot of overtime for those looking to make additional cash and operate in a fast paced and continuous work environment. They specialize in precision sheet metal fabricating and are looking for an Paint Shop Laborer that has the opportunity to grow within the company and get into a leadership position!

Qualifications:
1st Shift:
8: 30 to 5: 00
9: 30 to 6: 00
Pay Rate:
$15.00/hr to start, up to $17.00/hr once perm

Responsibilities:
- Prepare product/part(s) and mask hardware for paint
- Hang and remove product/part(s) from the powder coating line
- General assembly work (ie: place labels, insert hardware, etc...); possible use of pneumatic air tools
- Prepare and/or pack finished product to be shipped
- Powder Coat product/part(s)
- Coordinate with department supervisor to ensure the applicable work orders are being addressed in order as needed
- Move product to and from different areas as needed; the use of manual hand trucks and hydraulic assisted hand trucks
- Maintain a clean work area and keep up supplies needed to complete daily work
- Other duties may be assigned SUPERVISORY
Qualifications:
- Be able to lift or move things up to 50 Pounds
- Regularly required to stand
- Be able to communicate with management and coworkers
- Basic Math Skills
- Experience in manufacturing is a plus
- Show up on time and consistently
