Job Description
Our client has been in business since the 1990' s and is one of the states larger sheet metal fabrication shops located in Shelton, CT. They make and finish large products right on site such as railway safety carts and X-Ray machines for airports and boarder security. They have 170 employees are increasing their work force and did not shut down during the pandemic. They are adding a 30, 000 square foot addition on to their shop as they are continuing to grow. They are seeking seeking paint/powder coating operators. They offer roughly 50 hour works weeks with competitive pay, lots of overtime opportunity, and great benefits.
Selling Points:
6: 00 AM - 4: 30 PM, 7: 00 AM - 4: 30 PM (9-10 hour work days)
Additional OT Offered Saturday Mornings 7 - 12
Pay Rate:
$18 - $23 (commensurate with experience)

- Liquid spray painting & powder coating of small, medium, and large sized metal parts in a job shop atmosphere.
- Utilizing HVLP and conventional spray guns with pressure pots to make smooth and textured coatings.
- Working with low quantity/high variety job lots.
- Utilizing a tape measure to do masking (covering surfaces that are not to be sprayed).
- 1-2 years experience (will consider less for the right candidate).
- Need to have knowledge of reading blueprints needed along with using a tape measure.
- Need to have some knowledge of mixing paints, catalysts and reducers per paint spec sheets.
