Job Description
Our client has been in business since the 1990' s and is one of the state' s larger sheet metal fabrication shops. Located in Shelton, they make and finish large products on site such as railway safety carts and X-Ray machines for airports and boarder security. They have 170 employees, are increasing their work force, did not shut down during the pandemic and are adding a 30, 000 square foot addition as they continuing to grow. They are seeking Mechanical Assemblers & Laminators . They offer roughly 50 hour works weeks with competitive pay, lots of overtime opportunity, and great benefits.
Selling Points:
6: 00 AM - 4: 30 PM, 7: 00 AM - 4: 30 PM (9-10 hour work days)
Additional OT Offered Saturday Mornings 6 - 11
Pay Rate:
$16 - $25 (commensurate with experience)

- Assembling parts based on instructions and bill of materials.
- Utilizing calipers and tape measures to measure out parts.
- Mechanically assemble and laminate/bond plastic, foam, and metal parts together per blueprint specs.
- 2-3 years experience (will consider less for the right candidate).
- Knowledge of mechanical blue print readings required.
- Knowledge and experience with hand assembly tools such as drills, taps, and grinders.
6: 00 AM - 4: 30 PM, 7: 00 AM - 4: 30 PM (9-10 hour work days)
