Maintenance Worker-Manufacturing
Job Description
Our client is a family owned and operated Manufacturing company that has been in business for over 50 years. We specialize in precision sheet metal fabricating and are looking for a General Maintenance Worker to join our team on 1st Shift.
Pay rate: $19 to $20 per hour.
What you will be doing...
This position will perform light facility and machine maintenance and general repair. Additionally, this position will also do basic cleaning duties and specific janitorial functions as related to a manufacturing environment.
Fast paced and continuous work. Monday- Friday, 7: 00am- 3: 30pm. Possible overtime, when needed. Casual dress code, including jeans;work shoes or boots required.

What you will be doing...
This position will perform light facility and machine maintenance and general repair. Additionally, this position will also do basic cleaning duties and specific janitorial functions as related to a manufacturing environment.
- Conduct routine service on equipment and the facility (inside and outside).
- Conducts minor repairs and cleaning on equipment and facility.
- Maintain outside grounds, to include general property upkeep, snow shoveling, raking.
- Perform basic plumbing, carpentry and painting.
- Perform general facility cleaning, including break and restrooms.
- Clean and maintain manufacturing floors using company sweeper.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area and adhering to standard operating procedures and health and safety expectations.

What you will need to be successful...
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Ability to use powered and non-powered hand tools.
- Follow instructions and understand English given in both written and oral form
- Ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Occasionally required to use hands/fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- Frequently required to stand, walk and sit.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;anything over 50 pounds will require a team lift, or use of a powered industrial truck.
- Work Hours: 7-3: 30 Monday through Friday.
- Pay rate: $19 to $20 per hour.
