Machinist 2 (Maintenance Department)
Job Description
Our client is an international metal precision manufacturer that focuses on metal springs, progressive stampings, machined components, and assembly work for almost 80 years, and has over 400 employees! They have been supporting various industries including medical, defense, aerospace, and other government industries. They make a wide variety of parts for a large number of customers! They are currently seeking a Machinist 2 on 1st Shift in the machine maintenance department to replace a long tenured employee who just recently retired!

1st Shift: 7: 00 AM - 3: 30 PM
Pay Rate:
$28 - $32

- Designing, building, gauge building, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment throughout the facility.
- Advanced Machine repair.
- Sets-up and operates standard machine tools and other machinery to close tolerances in manufacturing machine parts.
- Builds gauges as required.
- Meets with other personnel regarding instruction, in the design, maintenance or repair of machinery and equipment to assure quality standard.
- Operates forklift trucks and other material devices in the movement of heavy machinery.
- Performs Lock out/Tag out safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
- High School, Trade School graduate or demonstrated equivalent skills.
- 5 years of experience in the field of machine maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to operate Forklift equipment.
- Welding experience a plus but not required.
- Experience in the maintaining of Laser Welding equipment & fixtures also highly desirable but not required.
1st Shift: 7: 00 AM - 3: 30 PM
