Machine Operator ($20-$25)
Job Description
Our client has been in business since the 1950s and is one of the largest distributors of wire and steel. They are located in Bristol, CT, and have a small, tight knit team with a family orientated environment of approximately 20 employees at this location. They are seeking A Machine Operator for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, that can be flexible to train on 1st shift for 2-3 months.
Selling Points:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift:
7: 00 AM - 3: 00 PM
3: 00 PM - 11: 00 PM
11: 00 PM - 7: 00 AM
Pay Rate:
$20-$25 per hour

- Quarterly bonuses as part of their profit sharing program, is up to 6% based on performance.

- Properly use a micrometer, welder and cutters.
- Operate a forklift.
- Properly select raw material checking for alloy, weight, size, quality and work order.
- Properly fill out all documentation, work order, tags, time sheets etc.
- Transport and load processed coils for annealing using forklift.
- Start-up and shut-down mill, set-ups and complete operation.
- Observe diagnosing and repair of mechanical problems.
- Must be able to run equipment without direct supervision.
- Will graduate from break down sizes to finish sizes.
- Assist in tearing down and rebuilding mill.
- Check concentration, temperature, voltage and overall operation of equipment.
- Transport coils for further processing using forklift.
- Group completed coils together by work order for further processing in shipping or storage area.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Previous machining operating experience in CNC, Bridgeports, or Lathes is required.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift experience is needed.
- Rolling Mill, or Slitting Experience is preferred.

3: 00 PM - 11: 00 PM
11: 00 PM - 7: 00 AM
Pay Rate:
$20-$25 per hour
