Job Description


Our Manufacturing Partner in Milford is seeking a Quality for incomming, and in-process inspection of primarily metal products.

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY : The inspection of materials, to determine if materials meet or exceed all specifications and requirements. Inspection includes receiving goods, first piece, non-routine (layout) and finished goods. Inspector will create and maintain inspection records. Inspector will perform product audit and maintain records. Processing of all assigned day-to-day work and assisting the Quality Coordinator/Engineers where and when required.


RESPONSIBILITIES :
  1. Maintain databases, records and logs in accordance with ISO/IATF standards.
  2. Perform incoming inspections of raw material, cartons, labels and purchased parts.
  3. Perform re-inspection tasks. Verifying product.
  4. Update database with new revisions and requirements.
  5. Help create or improve and implement quality systems, processes and programs.
  6. Assist warehouse resolve any quality problems.
  7. Assist Quality Associates in assigned job functions.
  8. Maintain equipment in accordance to Metrology procedures and instructions.
  9. Update inventory status. (Q.C. Hold, RTV, Rework, etc.).
  10. Conduct audits of kitting / packing.
  11. Perform audits of customer orders/shipments to verify all items are present and packaged to prevent damage during shipping
  12. Conduct product audits of finished goods, RMA/Repack and OE Kitting areas at EDC warehouse
  13. Review, disposition of RMA / repack area product –both visual inspection and system movements
  14. Other functions as required and assigned by supervisor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  1. 3-5 years experience or equivalent work experience in the inspection and/or quality profession.
  2. Strong understanding of inspection methods and techniques and understanding and implementation of receiving goods sampling, auditing techniques
  3. Basic quality tools –calipers, pin gages, micrometers, visual inspection
  4. Must be mechanically proficient including the use of basic hand and power tools.
  5. Computer literate in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  6. Computer literate in ERP system
  7. Good oral and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to operate fork lift and power pallet jacks.
  9. Able to lift 75 lbs.
Hours, 7: 00 to 3: 30 Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
