Supervisor Maintenance Department
Job Description
Our client is an international metal precision manufacturer that focuses on metal springs, progressive stampings, machined components, and assembly work for almost 80 years, and has over 400 employees! They have been supporting various industries including medical, defense, aerospace, and other government industries. They make a wide variety of parts for a large number of customers! They are currently seeking a Supervisor for the Maintenance Department on 1st Shift.

- Oversee all machine repair, rebuilding, and installation in buildings
- Delegate work duties to staff, and teach apprentices.
- Use maintenance program to manage work requests and make work orders to send to maintenance technicians. Keep Asset files up to date on repairs.
- Build small equipment as needed.
- Maintain software listed and cabinet inventory. Purchase repair and spare parts.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems with production machinery. Experience in dismantling and reassembly of equipment.
- Ability to design, build, grind, and repair machine parts to repair production equipment.
- Assure maintenance personnel follow all OSHA safety requirement when working on or moving equipment.
Qualifications:
- Tool Maker or Machinist certification with at least 5 years experience running a maintenance department.
- High energy level, self-starter good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
- May be required to assist or otherwise instruct other personnel.
- Participative management style- advocate of team concept.
- Results and people oriented, external and internal service orientated.
- Computer literate.
- Visual ability (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs unassisted
