Job Description

We are seeking an IT Helpdesk Support Specialist for an on-site, permanent opportunity!

Provide onsite technical support for two commonly owned and related businesses in Seymour, CT. Support requests will range from general PC trouble shooting, printers, networking, servers, business applications, VOIP phones and mobile devices (Tablet PC' s & Smart Phones). Must be extremely responsive and provide necessary solutions as quickly as possible to ensure operations are not hindered by technical difficulties. Must have the ability to quickly assess situation and resolve an issue. If needed, seek help from additional resources in a timely fashion. Candidate must be willing to learn and keep up with a constantly evolving and growing environment.
  • IT help desk (network, software and hardware)
  • Support for mobile platforms including Windows, IOS, and Android
  • Server support and management
  • Manage 3rd party VOIP phone systems, reporting and integration
  • Server/Network/LAN support and best practices
  • Wireless Network Infrastructure (Managing Bridges/Client)
  • Firewall support
  • Managing all employee hardware, software setup and maintenance
  • Productivity software support (Microsoft Office & Outlook)
  • IT Asset Tracking
  • New equipment purchasing
  • New equipment installation
  • PC' s/Tablets
  • Printers
  • Networking Equipment
  • Manages Security and Data Integrity
  • Manages Backup systems and ensures ability to point-restore
  • Administrator services for several hosted and cloud-based business applications
  • Develop best-practices for solutions and IT spend
  • Experience and general knowledge providing IT help desk support for PCs/Printers/Tablets/Phones
  • General understanding of network infrastructures and device configuration including access points, switches and firewalls
  • General understanding of virtual environments and working with cloud infrastructure
  • Experience as a Windows Server Administrator, maintaining a Windows Domain
  • Experience as Microsoft Exchange or Office 365 administrator
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Highly organized
  • Must be able to see all support requests and projects through to completion.
  • Excellent writing and documentation skills
