HVAC Technician (S2 or D2 Licensed)
Position Summary
We are seeking a customer-focused HVAC Technician with a valid S2 or D2 License to join our team. Position Summary
We are seeking a customer-focused HVAC Technician with a valid S2 or D2 License to join our team. This role is responsible for servicing, installing, and maintaining heating and cooling systems in residential homes while delivering a high level of customer service. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, professional in appearance and communication, and committed to creating a positive experience for homeowners.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair residential HVAC systems including furnaces, boilers, central air systems, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits
- Diagnose system issues and clearly explain repair options and recommendations to homeowners
- Perform seasonal maintenance and system tune-ups to ensure efficiency and reliability
- Troubleshoot and repair gas and oil-fired heating systems in compliance with S2/D2 licensing requirements
- Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and energy-saving practices
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in customers'homes, respecting property at all times
- Build trust with customers through professionalism, transparency, and quality workmanship
- Accurately document service calls, parts used, and recommendations
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service requests
Qualifications
- Valid S2 or D2 License (required)
- 2–10+ years of residential HVAC experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across heating and cooling systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to explain technical information in a clear, customer-friendly way
- Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Sales aptitude or experience recommending system upgrades/replacements
- Must have your own tools. Some tools are provided.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work performed in residential homes, attics, basements, and crawl spaces
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures and tight spaces
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay-Base pay -$25-55/hour depending on experience
