Process Engineer
Job Description
The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving stamping processes or powder coating processes while fostering a collaborative team environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Leadership & Team Management:
•Manage multiple process optimization projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business goals.
•Act as a liaison between engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to drive collaboration and problem-solving.
•Champion continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
•Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), using data to drive decision-making and process adjustments.
•Facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve production issues.
•Lead training sessions on new processes and equipment, ensuring smooth implementation and knowledge transfer.
Process Development & Optimization:
•Develop and implement metal stamping processes or powder coating processes for new and existing products.
•Optimize processes to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and reduce scrap rates.
•Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot issues related to stamping machinery and processes.
Tooling & Equipment:
•Collaborate with toolmakers and design engineers to develop and refine stamping dies and tools.
•Oversee the proper setup and maintenance of equipment.
•Recommend and implement tooling and machinery upgrades to improve performance.
Quality Assurance:
•Ensures products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
•Establish and maintain process control plans and perform regular audits for compliance.
Continuous Improvement:
•Drive initiatives aimed at reducing cycle times, waste, and production costs.
•Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks.
Safety & Compliance:
•Ensure processes and equipment meet safety regulations and standards.
•Conduct safety training for operators and production staff.
Documentation & Reporting:
•Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
•Prepare and present reports on production metrics, process improvements, and downtime analysis.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent work experience
•3-5 years of experience in metal stamping or a related manufacturing process. Experience in Powder coating is desirable.
•Proficient in metal stamping technologies, tooling design, and material properties.
•Skilled in CAD software (e.G., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools.
•Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
•Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
•Familiarity with ERP systems.
Physical Demands
•Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures.
•Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as needed.
•Lifting, carrying, and handling parts and tools up to 40 pounds without assistance
