Job Description

Our long-term client with a 95+ year history rooted in Oxford, CT, is seeking a full-time on-site role for a Financial Controller with a background in construction accounting, commercial or residential real estate development.

Role Description
The Financial Controller will be responsible for:

Overseeing financial statements
Conducting financial reporting
Building & maintaining positive relationships with lending institutions
Managing budget & forecast preparation
Monitoring & analyzing costs to ensure alignment with budget & financial objectives
Cash Management
Supporting Senior team & management in strategic planning & decision making
Managing accounting team and functions

Qualifications

Finance or Accounting experience in the Real Estate, Construction or Development industries
Financial Statements, Financial Reporting, and Accounting skills
Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge
Proficiency in financial software and systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
