Job Description
OOur client is one of the most historic companies in Connecticut having been in business since the 1800' s! They manufacture high voltage and specialty cable for power companies with Eversource being one of their largest customers. They employ over 100 people and are in growth mode. With strong benefits, pay, and room for internal promotion, this could be a great opportunity for you. We are seeking seeking CV Operators for both day/night and weekend shifts.

Schedule:
Crew 1 Mon - Thurs: 7: 00 AM - 7: 00 PM (8 hours OT)
Crew 2 Mon - Thurs: 7: 00 PM - 7: 00 AM (8 Hours OT)
Weekend Days: Fri - Sun 7: 00 AM - 7: 00 PM (36 hours but paid for 52 hours!)
Weekend Nights: Fri - Sun 7: 00 PM - 7: 00 AM (36 hours but paid for 52 hours!)

- Set up machinery: load pay off reels and spools, remove empty spools, guide wire through machine, change dies and gears
- Operate CV + Stranding machinery.
- Clean and reassemble machinery in assigned area.
- Monitor controls.
- Change out spools and other materials.
- Operate and monitor semi-automatic and rigid machines and take-up and pay-off machines.
- Operating forklift as needed.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic shop math.
- Read/use precision gages and tools is a plus.
$20 - $21 per hour
