CNC Mill Operator/Set Up
Job Description
Our client is located in Norwalk, CT. They engineer, manufacture and distribute machinery for applying Heat Shrinkable Tamper-Evident Seals and Sleeve Labels worldwide to customers such as Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Proctor & Gamble, Unilever, and Nestle to name a few. PDC also fabricates both Hot/Air & Steam Shrink Tunnels. They offer competitive pay good benefits and a good schedule with half days every Friday! They are seeking a CNC Mill Setup/operator with a good baseline of programming knowledge and a desire to learn more!

Pay Rate:
$30-$32 Hourly
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 6: 00 AM - 3: 00 PM (8.5 hour days)
Friday 6: 00 AM 12: 00 PM (6 hour day)
Overtime offered when needed! Occasional Saturdays

Job Responsibilities:
- Running a 4 Axis Haas CNC Mill machine.
- Utilizing FeatureCAM Software.
- Machine setup: Set up machines by independently mounting fixtures, selecting and loading tools, and inputting or loading programs.
- CNC Mill Machine operation: Operate the machine, monitor its performance, and make adjustments as needed to ensure proper function.
- CNC Programming: Will be responsible for learning and handling some of the programming when the supervisor is out.
- Quality control: Inspect first-run parts and monitor ongoing production to ensure parts meet specifications, using precision instruments like calipers and gauges.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of setups, production runs, quality checks, and maintenance.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting: Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues that arise during operation.
- Blueprint interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents to understand part requirements and setup procedures.
- Previous CNC Mill operation/setup experience.
- Basic Previous CNC programming experience.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Experience with mics, calipers, and gauges.
- Good attitude and desire to learn.
- Punctual.
Pay Rate:
$30-$32 Hourly
