Job Description

Our client is a leader in manufacturing of major medical devices located in Berlin, CT, with a team size of roughly 250 employees. Their business supports major medical companies including Pharmaceutical, Client, and Nuvasive. They have a very updated shop with new machinery and are seeking CNC Machinist' s with Lathe Experience for both first and second shift!

Responsibilities:
  • Operating and maintaining production on equipment within the department including Citizen Lathes, Tsugami Lathes, index multi-spindle lathes, Willemin Mill turns, various 3-4-5 axis mills, Anodize/Passivation lines.
  • Perform offsets and tool changes to maintain efficient production with minimal support.
  • Setup complext legacy components and basic new production orders and ensure the machine is ready for steady production.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured components as required. Utilize microscope, micrometer, caliper, pin gages, thread gages, comprator, micro-hite, CMM, Vision System, etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment.
  • Make sure quality inspection standards documents are completed and up to date when necessary.
  • Ensure proper material control, identification and traceability is maintained for conforming and nonconforming material through the manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize and navigate ERP and QMS systems to ensure inspection and traceability activities are properly documented and controlled, as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-7 years experience in machine operating.
  • CNC Machining Certification strongly perferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with GMP/ISO standards.
  • Advanced understanding of the usage and care of mechanical equipment and inspection processes.
  • Ability to use hand-held tools to perform preventive maintenance or repair activities and install or change tools.
  • Ability to effectively read and understand blueprints, specifications, and procedures.
Pay Rate:
$16 - $29 Hourly

Schedule:
First Shift: 6: 00 AM - 3: 30 PM or 4: 30 PM.
Second Shift: 5: 30 PM - 3: 00 AM or 4: 00 AM
