CDL Driver Class A
Job Description
Our client makes fan fold foam insulation and is located in Prospect with two locations down the street from each other. They have 45 employees between the two facilities. They are currently seeking experienced CDL Drivers with Class A and B Licenses. When not driving you'll be asked to assist with the shipping and receiving department plus some forklift work.

- Drive and operate [insert truck details: e.G. Class B straight truck with 26'bed].
- Deliver orders/materials/product to customers, both internal and external, while following DOT and internal safety rules using the company truck.
- Loading and unloading of company truck and securing loads.
- Maneuver heavy materials with the use of a forklift, pallet jack, and/or hand truck.
- Assist in warehouse as needed.
- Comply with company and DOT policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.
- Complete pre-trip inspections, know how to maintain a legal and accurate logbook, retain fuel and toll receipts, maintain cleanliness of truck cab, document and log work/rest periods, and complete post-trip inspections.
- Check gauges and visual indicators for malfunctions, ensure locks on trailers are working properly, and conduct inspection of vehicle before and during trips to determine problems that may be occurring and promptly report all problems to supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Class A –minimum of 12 months verifiable experience working in a full-time tractor/trailer driving position in the previous three (3) years or two (2) years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last five (5) years
- Class B –minimum of 12 months verifiable experience working in a full-time Class B tractor driving position in the previous three (3) years or two (2) years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last five (5) years.
- A mixture of Class A and Class B experience may be considered.
- It would be a plus to have Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles endorsements required (LVC requirement may apply).]
- Must be at least 23 years of age.
