Job Description

Our client is one of the nations leading electronics manufacturers. Their focus is creating buttons levers and switches that are used across various industries. They have a small team of 35 employees located on the Fairfield, New Haven county line. They offer competitive pay, great benefits, and an excellent work environment. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team and assist in handling inbound customer service calls and emails from customers, distributors, and manufacturing representatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Business Development Management –direct customer contacts and in collaboration with, Directors of Sales, International Business Development (BD) colleagues, and international colleagues to define key account targets, manage projects, and execute strategies while participating within the Center of Competence - CoC.
  • Management of defined A-Account applications within Focus Segments and BD targets working closely across the global organization to manage complex projects and execute BD strategies in North America.
  • Focus on penetrating major Heavy Duty, Special Vehicle, Truck and Bus manufacturers and sub-suppliers primarily within the on-road and off-road marketplace.
  • High focus on development of new accounts, new opportunities and introduction of new products.
  • Willing and able to travel to key accounts and BD targets to develop trusted business relationships on a regular basis (e.G. >50%) including occasional international travel outside of North America.
  • Assist with special sales, marketing, or related projects as directed by the EAO Management Team.
Qualifications:
  • Business Development Management –direct customer contacts and in collaboration with, Directors of Sales, International Business Development (BD) colleagues, and international colleagues to define key account targets, manage projects, and execute strategies while participating within the Center of Competence - CoC.
  • Management of defined A-Account applications within Focus Segments and BD targets working closely across the global organization to manage complex projects and execute BD strategies in North America.
  • Focus on penetrating major Heavy Duty, Special Vehicle, Truck and Bus manufacturers and sub-suppliers primarily within the on-road and off-road marketplace.
  • High focus on development of new accounts, new opportunities and introduction of new products.
  • Willing and able to travel to key accounts and BD targets to develop trusted business relationships on a regular basis (e.G. >50%) including occasional international travel outside of North America.
  • BSEE/ME preferred or applicable experience with technical and business acumen
  • Microsoft 365 Applications and SharePoint collaboration
  • Salesforce.Com or other CRM software
  • Oracle Enterprise Management software or comparable software
  • +5 year working with On / Off Road vehicle market –OEMs  
  • Proven OEM sales achievements within on-road and off-road marketplace.
  • Success selling CAN bus interfaced products.
  • Understanding of a User Experience and Industrial Design value proposition.
  • Strong sales and people management skills.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a strong customer service orientation, problem-solving aptitude.
  • Must have the ability to function in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Regularly required to interact with co-workers, interdepartmental personnel, customers, distributors, representatives, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner. 
Pay:
$120K Base + Commission
First Year Earnings expected $150K

M-F 8: 00 - 5: 00
