Job Description

We are a woman-owned staffing firm that has been serving the greater Fairfield, New Haven and Middlesex counties for nearly 30 years. We support a variety of light industrial, engineering, legal and business services companies with talent management, hr consulting and payroll services. We are actively seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) HR & Payroll Assistant.

Position Overview:
This is a multi-faceted and evolving role as we scale and match your skills and interests. It serves as our first line point of contact for candidates, customers and visitors both in person and through phone & email. It is responsible for providing payroll, benefits support and pre-employment onboarding and compliance monitoring.

  • Overall customer service by answering phones, email and FedEx/UPS distribution
  • Pre-employment onboarding of contract workers (I9, drug & background checks)
  • Timecard collection and auditing
  • Resolution of all payroll and invoicing issues
  • Managing the unemployment process including claims and hearings

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Proven administrative skills
  • Basic PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • A desire to work in a role with a company where people literally are our business

Monday through Friday, 8: 30-5

$18-23/hr, temp to perm
Once permanent we offer Medical, Vision, Dental & 401k including company match
Generous PTO and 8 paid holidays annually

This is a full time, hourly position located physically in our Seymour office.
