Shipping and Receiving Associate
Job Description
Our client is an innovative mid-sized manufacturing company in Seymour that manufactures electronic hardware and components for the Defense, Aerospace, Automotive, Agriculture, Electric Vehicles, Medical and much more. We are immediately seeking to add to their Shipping/Warehouse team to support recent growth.
Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for the processing of all daily Shipping and packing activites, ensuring timely delivery to our customers.

7: 00 to 3: 30 Monday to Friday
5 hour OT on Saturdays at the end of the month.
Pay:
$18- $20

Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for the processing of all daily Shipping and packing activites, ensuring timely delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the directive of Warehouse Lead, follow shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping/receiving schedules and average shipment goal utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or Pick up according to schedule and customer specifications, load, pack, wrap, label ship.
- Unpacks, inspects and stores incoming rework orders from suppliers and/or customers returns.
- Counts, weighs or measures items of outgoing shipments to assist verifying against bills of lading, Invoices, orders and other records.
Requirements:
- High levels of data entry accuracy
- Experience working in fast paced environments
- Work day requires standing and lifting of 35 lbs, bending and stooping
- Excellent computer skills with shipping and ERP systems
- Average shipment goal of 40 to 50 orders per day, utilizing knowledge of shipping proceedures, routes and rates
- 3 years of consistent employment at minimum
- Forklift experience a plus
