Job Description
This position will directly supervise the production department employees who manufacture subassemblies and complete units using hand tools, light power tools, and automated equipment.

Job Requirements:
- Train, develop and measure the output of production employees
- Maximize efficiency in each production employee while maintaining exceptional quality, productivity and meeting required production schedules
- Continuously maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment
- Provide leadership abilities in preventing accidents by emphasizing the importance of safety and good work practices
- Ensures that production assembly schedules are efficiently communicated, measured and adhered to throughout the shift
- Initiates actions to improve production processes and methods where necessary
- Responsible for maximizing workforce flexibility by cross-training personnel as needed to assure availability of resources to complete work schedules efficiently
- Encourages input from supervised personnel to lower costs, improve quality, simplify work, and reduce scrap and rework
- Supervise employees who setup and/or operate assembly and packaging machines
- Responsible for adequate departmental staffing and disciplinary measures of employees under supervision
Technical Skill Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and with others to initiate activities and resolve conflicts
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Ability to interview potential new production employees
- Ability to interface with various levels of management and production personnel
- Knowledge of "lean production techniques and team building
- Working knowledge of computer programs (i.E. MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Bilingual with at minimum English fluency and Spanish proficiency
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree or two-year technical degree or equivalent related experience
